It must always be borne in mind that gossip hurts. As you look for guidance from Almighty God, it is best to be obedient to Him in life. In everything pursue wholeness, for it is the basis of enjoyment and good health. An individual that reaches out in doing these things will be blessed with a feeling of worthiness. When helping someone, there should be no strings attached. Do so, with an open heart and mind and let nothing be disturbing to you. Live a life free from fear and embrace its true goodness.

Be always sure of yourself as you live, touch lives and change them for the better by being gracious and kind. With such actions, you will be creating a future of hopefulness. You must depend less on a competitive spirit, but more on one that is willing to share and help others. With these natural seeds, bonds will grow through nurturing families, friends, neighbors and strangers. William Shakespeare (1564 – 1616) an English poet, playwright and actor - regarded as the greatest writer of the English language observed, “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.”

The Earth College

“Our duty is to encourage everyone in his struggle to live up to his own highest ideal, and strive at the same time to make the ideal as near as possible to the Truth.” So wrote, an Indian Hindu monk Swami Vivekananda (1863 – 1902). In the Earth College finding truth has to be the ideal.

It is often said that you get what you wish for. Approach life as if you are looking for “your true love” when nurturing diverse talents. Everyone has at least one talent and are all students attending their first Earth College – the College of Life. Some of us are handicapped. We may be born that way, but others may be so through ailments that affect them physically, intellectually and, or psychologically. Regardless of our status in life – whether able-bodied or handicapped, there are important lessons to learn, and it is best to master them early. Try your best so that you don't have to repeat them. This is why we ought to share our ideals with those that we meet. View all men as friends and companions distinct in their own way and on a life's journey.

Live ethically, do not lie. Honor your fellowman and whenever possible give him a helping hand. Be a good Samaritan to the downtrodden and poor, for remember that we are all learning the best lessons on earth. Whatever you achieve do so fairly. Do not cheat nor steal but work diligently to make a living, and God will surely bless your efforts. Let your ultimate goal be focused on serving and loving others. Be compassionate when illness and suffering come to fellow parishioners, members of your community and the world. In pursuing what is good, these should be some of your ultimate and immediate aims for a better humankind.

Love as a Bridge

Ellen G. White (1827 – 1915) an American author and Christian pioneer of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church felt, “A Christian reveals true humility by showing the gentleness of Christ, by being always ready to help others, by speaking kind words and performing unselfish acts, which elevate and ennoble the most sacred message that has come to the world.”

Many times love calls for making baby steps. It is best to take things slowly than not doing them at all. This is the cup of hope from which we should all drink. As we live to the fullest in pursuit of the good things of life, our personal goals and desires must be based on love. When doing daily chores, our guardian angels are with us as we reach out to people. They help us build a bridge to the unlovable and those we love. This truth about life we must not try to resist or deny, for we are to approach others with pure hearts and open minds, while wishing them the best for what they are able to do.

By so doing - regardless of their circumstance, we will be endeavoring to give comfort to those we  love. This is a way of freely giving back to the universe. Do remember to be of good cheer and greet each other with a smile. Taking such action and extending a helping hand, let persons know that you stand with them in their difficulties. This my friend is the personal power of love promoting itself like a bridge to every unassuming soul. Every man, woman and child we encounter, love makes a sacred union and we must never deny loving and caring for others. It is John F. Kennedy
(1917 – 1963) the 35th American President who wisely stated, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” Our actions are of the utmost importance for sowing fertile seeds for our souls.
